Archangel Divination II Album

The tracks Guardian Angel, Ariel and Metatron are tuned to 432HZ.                                          Some say this frequency vibrates with the Universe   I personally, (during the mixing and mastering process) compared these 3 tracks to the usual 440HZ tuning and found the experiences to be more relaxing at 432HZ.

Released digitally 25th February 2017. This follows ‘The Journey’ a collaboration with Sally Wathen at Rainbow Bridge, who always makes me feel better everytime we visit.  She helps confirm that making music is my path, ignoring that path is not an option. Which is why once I invested in new studio equipment after my old Fostex machine retired by both effectively ‘dying’ on me after 20 years. I’ve invested in Logic Pro X and am learning its use step by step by watching Youtube videos as lack a good attention span with  I worked mostly evening and weekends around my day job. Inspired and indulging in blissful musical quiet times making these albums.

Archangel Divination 

November 2016: The release of Archangel Divination. An album I’m very proud of. It’s really rather beautiful. Here are a few clips:

If I and Ange can relax and meditative to a track. It passes the ‘Claudsville’ road test. Earth Tree Healing is a project that has been going since 2014. With ‘Meditation Chronicles.’ 

 It was recorded live without useage of looping and helped me learn more about meditation music. Being more of a folk rock instruments recorder. That dabbled in the odd instrumental. 

It’s something relaxing I really enjoy doing, in between gigging and doing music with the band ‘Strange Currencies’ 

It’s only this last year that I’ve invested more time into writing and recording meditation and instrumental music.. and been able financially to invest in equipment needed. After accidentally buying a ‘borrower’ sized midi keyboard. 

I then did my research and got a bigger one! 

Mainly thanks to getting Logic Pro X. Thank you YouTube folks for some valuable instruction videos to get me started with the tip of this technology iceberg. It’s a whole new bag of sweeties after a frustrating start with Pro Tools. I’d previously used Fostex 8 and 16 track multi trackers (That’s transport had both died on me after many years of use.) My world of instruments and sounds has really opened up. Even though I’ll still be recording using my ‘real’ ones. Virtuality has enabled 2 records very quickly. I have another experimental and upbeat instrumental project called ‘Dead Vulture’

I’ve just released ‘Citadel’ which was my first venture into a spot of Pro Tools SE (before I upgraded my Mac and frustratingly found it not to be compatible) I’d also got sick if it crashing. And found it, in hindsight more complex to use than Logic. 

The is a December 2016 release of Sally Wathen’s Rainbow Bridge 2 on its way too. That my self published quota sorted until whatever the new year inspires… enjoy.

Citadel – 2015

If you look towards that horizon. Beyond it lies the Citadel: The centre that is fortified, the core. Protection.

I’ve yet to decide whether this as yet unwritten but bubbling away at the gates, will be Bog Woppit alternative or New Age meditation music project.  Maybe a hybrid? The title was born yesterday and belongs within my walls. The inspiration for this new work?

Maybe its the smell of the new incense I’m burning today. Maybe its the arrival of this?

Yes its a ART Multiverb Effects unit. I’m a big fan of Flange and Chorus! Even though my Boss Multi Effects is a bad boy in itself. I love an old piece of vintage kit. Plugging straight into a laptop and adding technology somehow doesn’t feel as realistic as plugging in a chunky piece that crackles. I am old school that is slowly embracing home studio advances. I used one of these in the 90’s with my music mentor Grimm. Its arrival has brought back many memories and his Ghost. Memories of the dark, good times, indulgent times. My musical output was massive as my day to day commitments were small then. The portal is once again sending stuff through. Be it sober this time.

So I’ve freed up more time and am focussing more. Without pissing my pants, 2015 is going to be a very exciting and active year. Subway Circus will be out there live  on the shits and gigging circuit very shortly. It took a while! But getting the right band members who play their parts and give inspired input to a very high standard is imperative in my book.

I’m going to do more solo live mic nights this year. As I just fancy a bit of it.

Its nice to have my drive and focus acknowledged by the least likely people. Thank YOU. So while a splash new paint and create more colourful canvases. Listen to all.

PS I’m not going to mention my eye lid crabs! Whatever next? !
