MIDLANDER BLUES

Divas wept
They Talk about convention
Fake news under a microscope
Born in a heatwave
Declared renegade
Reptilian holograms
Wasps in my hair
I’m at the end of this leather
nag a ram an anagram

No one’s gonna mess with my big red moon cup
The noises in the bedroom
Making up with fucks

In an anorak
Is a razor back
Don’t look back
Panic attack

But I still love you
and I want you to unwind
I broke the mirror
But reflected over time
And my head banging
Come on pour me some more wine

I followed through when i went to the zoo
That’s what you get for queuing
It’s not so crazy believe in Tena lady
To catch your poo in

There’s menopause around the corner
Spa weekends and breath taking saunas

Silent stifled screams
Cock Wombles….

Becoming Moons is the new album by Multi-Instrumentalist & Songwriter Claudine West. From the debris from a galactic collision.. Comes something whole. Alternative rock with acoustic colours. This project; It’s an evolving beast. A song will be added each month until completion. Track 1.  January 2017 saw the release of single and first song ‘Mantaray.’

Joanna Thompson “Mind-blowing harmonies, the most beautifuliest of lyrics constructed so perfectly. really impressive work, you’ve real skill, keep it up and i know you’ll soar!”

A video by Claudine West accompanies this:

A strong believer in recycling. A rejected song ‘Automatic’ from band Strange Currencies Claudine had recorded the music for, was edited, with new lyrics and Claudine’s vocals.

Track 2. February 2017

THE FEAR THE FEAR THE FEAR

THE FEAR THE FEAR THE FEAR. Skirts lyrically around anxiety, paranoia and anger. Backed by a rock alternative musical core. A reflection lyrically of feeling felt during the day of writing and recording it.

Track 3. March 2017

I REASSURE GLORY

THE SUITS AND THE ECHOES

THERES PANIC IN THE GHETTO

THE PIONEERS AND BABBLING MERCHANTS OF DRIVEL

THE ROOMS  AND THE RECKONING

THE FEAR THE FEAR THE FEAR THE QUIVER

THIS RIVER HOLDS MANY

THERE IS PANIC

WHERE THE RIVER GOES

WATCH ME TRANSFORMING

I’M MINDFUL TERRAFORMING

I WATCH I DON’T WORRY

Vivid Weekends Starve The Sky

A compilation and journey through some of my rarities and demos and ideas. A selection. Recorded long before grey hairs started to sprout. While mastering my craft. The first room I rented after leaving home – I was 19. Aloof and angry. I’d converted to a music room with a small bed in the corner.Recording with drum pads on my kit. I worked a lot with flangers, string keyboard arrangements, instrumentals. I played with sweet haunting melodies and lyrics of intense turmoil, release, storytelling, endings, new beginnings.  Grimm also features on a few tracks performing guitar solos. There were a lot of death themes going on around that time in my life. I’d had major face surgery (September Brings was written about it) I obsessed with morbid explorations, cadavers. Indulged with alcohol and substance abuse. Sometimes freeing the mind invites Demons. Or just opens locked doors. Painting and musically recreating ones vivid dreams & nightmares at weekends …It was a productive but dark decade. Then I really fell in love.

Do not listen to this in front of children or the easily or even reasonably offended. You have been warned! This a few of what we deemed as ‘Piss Take’ Songs. Recorded in between the others. People have always given me great writing inspiration. Through their characters, stories or actions. Enjoy!

Limestone Century

New tune! Limestone Century is an essentially funky ‘Bog Woppit’ track from my 2016 forthcoming solo album. I adventure new paths using Pro Tools SE instead of Fostex multi trackers. I’ve put off using it for a while now as dislike reading instructions (So I watched Youtube videos to get me started) Back in my early 20’s I was the reel to reel tape user. Then to 4 track cassette tape. Moving into digital multi trackers. Always a musician and composer (I’m not a sound engineer and wiz at the tech) But I’m slowly learning. Pro tools crashes, pops. But on the whole I’ll persevere. It made music making very easy.  (I’ll save up for the ‘Full Monty’ after California next year) It does take the challenge out of my making it up as I go along. I can tolerate for this album I’m sure 😉

I bought the tiniest midi keyboard for my massive hands. More for recording synth parts for meditation music. The principled self that records everything live with real instruments still gets to do that in part. Fully in our Rock band ‘Subway Circus’  yes I’m having a bit of fun playing with loops and like.

Inhaling my himalayan salt pipe is helping lung recover after that darn nasty lurgy last month.

What’s it about?  I suppose a ‘header’ : Purification, making peace, music. 2016 started off poorly. It’s time to make things alright again.

Once upon a parallel line

The Quintessence of Frequency in an Idyllic Blue Sky

the Sound of the Hedonist:

 Levitate in the Limestone century

The haven’t not decided

The world collapsed inside

Retired and fired up upon too young

Razor wires and battle cries

Idyllic blue sky

Make your peace with makers

And follow lycanthrope a

Panic button

The sound of a heaven rip

Divination walker of the mountains and the underpass

You make your peace with fables

You make your peace with your God

Molasses In The Spring With Olaf

Molasses In The Spring with Olaf

Channelling, words, sentences, thoughts, reads of the week, experiences from the realms of parallels. Olaf is the friend. The friends that gives sweet memories of times in the sunshine. As the pink blossom falls. We travel; I found this music on an old Fostex digital recorder, while sorting deletions and fresh starts in composition. Remembering the lyrics and melodies weren’t there at the time. Today the wanted to come through.

Tokyo at Mohive

Chrono las over

Highway a night drive

Imploding supernova

Molasses in the spring with Olaf

Birds of paradise in the garden

Nephilim in darkness

Corroded movers

They shake new world orders

Roll it under

Make it thunder

Break the man in two

Machina took it out on toucan

The words and menopause

The losers in the blue room

Empty wards have active soul wanderers
